Short version: this site sets no cookies, runs no advertising trackers, and the only personal information it can ever hold is an email address you typed in yourself.
whitelobster.rocks is operated by Dutch Gatto Records. White Lobster is a Dutch Gatto Records artist, and merchandise — when it exists — is handled by Dutch Gatto Vault. For anything on this page, write to whitelobster@dutchgatto.com.
We collect the email address you enter, and nothing else. We use it to tell you about releases, merchandise drops and anything else White Lobster is doing. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately.
The list is stored and sent by our email provider, who processes it on our instructions and is not permitted to use it for anything else.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It is measurement, not tracking: it records the page you looked at, the site that referred you, your approximate country, and your browser and device type. It does not set cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and cannot follow you to other websites. There is no way for us to identify you from it.
Our host, Cloudflare, also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention.
Most of this site is links out — Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook and Dugatto. Once you tap one you are on their service under their privacy policy, not ours. We do not pass them any information about you; they simply see a visitor arriving from here, the same as any link on the web.
Mailing list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics data is aggregate and retained by Cloudflare on their schedule. Server logs are short-lived.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — and we will, at no cost. If you're in the UK, EU, California or anywhere else with data protection law, those rights are yours by statute; we apply them to everyone regardless.
Since the only thing we can hold is your email address, "delete everything" is usually a one-step request. Write to the address above and we'll confirm when it's done.
We rely on your consent for the mailing list (you typed it in and can withdraw at any time) and on legitimate interests for aggregate analytics and security logging.
If this policy changes we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant and you're on the mailing list, we'll tell you by email.
Unrelated to privacy, but worth saying plainly: White Lobster's music and artwork contain explicit language and adult subject matter, and the music, images and video are generated with AI.
